Assault on the Spire

An entry to the 2023 One Page Dungeon Contest.

A spark of hope! Rumors have reached your ears from a trusted contact that the master sorcerer Kelene Hestia survived the Exalted Overlord’s genocidal campaign against the Sorcerous Order and is being held prisoner at the Spire, the Overlord’s secret prison. Hestia would be a crucial ally in the fight against the Overlord, so it’s down to you to stage a rescue!

Assault on the Spire is a system agnostic one page prison break, created for the 2023 One Page Dungeon Contest. Infiltrate a secure facility to rescue a prisoner who just might have the ability to change the fate of your scrappy band of resistance fighters.

Designed to be easily adaptable to your science fantasy system of choice, this adventure would pair nicely with the following:

• Galactic 2E
• Scum & Villainy
• Solar Blades & Cosmic Spells
• Pretty much any of the Star Wars RPGs.

Designer Note:

The initial seeds of this adventure were sewn back in 2020, as it was the first adventure I ran after the COVID lockdown shifted my group to virtual play, which would eventually lead to publishing my own short adventures here. Since then, it's become a staple of mine for convention games and is by far my most run adventure. However, up until now the notes have never been cleaned up for someone else to take the reigns and run for themselves. Hope you enjoy!
