They called it the Dissociation. No one knows what caused it, at least no one left alive. Some say it was demonic possession, or a virus, or some cosmic entity that snipped the silver cord that connects the body to the soul. Whatever it was, it stripped away their humanity, leaving behind twisted monstrosities puppeted by unknowable desires.

The first victims were turned in an instant, but the corruption quickly spread, civilization crumbling in its wake. Those that still survive are left clustered in isolated communities. Only the Runners that brave the overrun territories can connect them.

Conjunction is a system agnostic one page point crawl about forging connections in the post-apocalypse, written for the 2026 One Page Dungeon Contest. It’s been three years since the Dissociation and fall of civilization. Survivors still persist, but resources have begun to dwindle. The only hope of survival is if those left alive band together in unity. To save this region from doom, your players must connect the strands, contend with the roaming horrors, restore the power, and bring hope to those without.

Designed to be easily adaptable to your system of choice, this scenario would work well with:
